SINGAPORE, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore Airlines transported 2.1 million passengers last month, up 20.3 percent year-on-year, according to the latest operating statistics.
The low-cost airline Scoot within the same group recorded 1.06 million passengers in April, a year-on-year growth of 13.2 percent.
The cargo loads of Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group increased by 26.4 percent year-on-year last month, supported by demand spillover from security concerns in the Red Sea.
The SIA Group's passenger network covered 122 destinations by the end of April, and the cargo network comprised 126 destinations.■
