BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted Kermadec Islands region at 0141 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 66.5 km, was initially determined to be at 28.12 degrees south latitude and 177.31 degrees west longitude. ■
