BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.01 percent to 3,154.55 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.58 percent lower at 9,731.24 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 912.5 billion yuan (about 128.5 billion U.S. dollars), up from 901.1 billion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
Shares related to real estate and electricity were among the biggest gainers, while those in the dyestuff and semiconductor sectors declined the most.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.15 percent to close at 1,878.17 points Friday. ■
