HONG KONG, May 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted the Vanuatu Islands at 08:17:18 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 15.26 degrees south latitude and 167.94 degrees east longitude. ■
