SUVA, May 6 (Xinhua) -- The Fiji Police Force said that home invasion has become a trend in the Pacific island nation, and most of the suspects are opportunists and unemployed.
According to Livai Driu, chief operations officer assistant commissioner of police, police continue to receive reports of home invasions from across the country, reported Fiji Broadcasting Corporation on Monday.
In response to these incidents, Driu said the Fiji Police Force is intensifying its efforts, including enhanced patrols, community engagement initiatives, and public awareness campaigns, to promote safety and security within residential areas.
