BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China had 21,098 private fund managers by the end of March this year, according to data from the Asset Management Association of China.
Of the total, 8,328 were private securities investment fund managers, and 12,526 were private equity or venture capital fund managers.
By the end of March, funds totaling 20.29 trillion yuan (about 2.86 trillion U.S. dollars) were under management in China, according to the data.
Ten new private fund managers were registered in March, and the registrations of 63 managers were canceled by the association. ■
