LOS ANGELES, April 28 (Xinhua) -- SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday and is on the way back to Earth, according to the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The spacecraft undocked at 1:10 p.m. Eastern Time (1710 GMT) Sunday from the space station's Harmony module.

After re-entering Earth's atmosphere, the spacecraft will make a parachute-assisted splashdown off the coast of Florida at 1:38 a.m. (0438 GMT) Tuesday, according to NASA.

Dragon arrived at the ISS as SpaceX's 30th commercial resupply services mission for NASA, delivering about 6,000 pounds of research investigations, crew supplies, and station hardware.

It was launched on March 21 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
