BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.17 percent to 3,088.64 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.15 percent higher at 9,463.91 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices reached 1.09 trillion yuan (about 153 billion U.S. dollars), up from the 774.3 billion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
Shares related to securities and quantum technology led the gains, while those in the banking, logistics and coal sectors saw declines.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 3.34 percent to close at 1,823.74 points Friday. ■
