AMMAN, April 25 (Xinhua) -- The Jordanian armed forces said on Thursday it conducted, in cooperation with other countries, six new airdrops of humanitarian aid to various areas in the northern Gaza Strip, according to the state-run Petra news agency.

In addition to the aircraft from Jordan, two aircraft from the United States, one aircraft from Germany, one aircraft from Egypt, and one aircraft from Britain took part in the aid drop operation, Petra reported.

The number of airdrops carried out by Jordan independently since the start of the conflict has now reached 88, with another 214 airdrops conducted in cooperation with other countries.

Also on Thursday, Jordan dispatched a new convoy of food aid to the people in Gaza in partnership with the World Food Program.

The convoy, consisting of 115 trucks carrying emergency food aid, was sent through the King Hussein Bridge to the Karam Abu Salem crossing. From there, it will be delivered to the people in Gaza and distributed through partner associations and organizations within the strip, as reported by Petra.
