BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) held an open day event in Beijing on Friday, to further engage the public with the development of the intellectual property (IP) sector.
This Friday is the 24th World Intellectual Property Day and also marks the 19th consecutive year that NIPA has held such an open day event.
Shen Changyu, head of the CNIPA, introduced the latest IP development in the past year. A series of typical cases were released at the event.
Among the 30 typical cases of administrative protection on IP, 11 cases involve the protection of private enterprises and seven of foreign enterprises.
During the event, the top 10 cases of patent re-examination and typical cases of trademark opposition in 2023 were also unveiled.
More than 100 guests were invited to the activity, including representatives from innovation entities, IP agencies and university students.
At this year's open day event, in addition to the main venue at CNIPA headquarters, 14 sub-venues were set up at patent offices, trademark offices, patent examination cooperation centers, and trademark examination cooperation centers in 11 cities. ■
