HUZHOU, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The Xiaoxijie historical and cultural block, situated in the city center of Huzhou, boasts a rich history spanning over a millennium.
Since 2013, the city of Huzhou has launched a protection and transformation project of the historical and cultural block, emphasizing the restoration of the unique features of Xiaoxijie and introducing modern industries on this basis.
Today, cultural facilities such as art galleries and museums are opened in Xiaoxijie. Young entrepreneurs with dreams settled here to build cafes, pottery shops, custom jewelry shops, music studios, etc. The integration of traditional and modern elements has injected new vitality into the block.
