BERLIN, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Good news has seemed to fall on Borussia Dortmund like a pleasant spring rain.

The future of the club's management has been solved, a sporting upswing has taken the team to a promising position in the Bundesliga, and above that, the side reached the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the first time since 2013.

While Germany's Bundesliga is likely to see five places in next season's Champions League campaign due to its advantage in continental coefficient rankings, Dortmund's upcoming match against RB Leipzig has turned into a welcome test run.

Two points behind fourth-placed Leipzig, Dortmund has a 12-point gap over sixth place with four rounds of matches to go until the 2023-24 season ends.

Nevertheless, the 2012 Bundesliga champions are heading for a satisfying performance against Leipzig. A victory is expected to boost motivation ahead of the Champions League semifinal ties against Paris Saint-Germain.

"We want to keep the flow," Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel said, adding, "As long as things are not tight up regarding the Champions League, we need to take care of it."

Edin Terzic has strengthened his position as Dortmund's head coach, and doubts about his future have vanished.

Ahead of UEFA Euro 2024, Dortmund's key players such as Mats Hummels need to deliver continuous satisfying games.

"We know about our possibilities, and they have triggered the team's ambitions and determination," Terzic said.

The coach said his side was aware of the promising options and has developed a certain greediness.

"We know about the challenges ahead, but we are prepared for the encounter in Leipzig and the games against Paris," Terzic said.

Aside from the team's sporting achievements, former Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham's success at Real Madrid is providing additional bonus payments for the Black and Yellows.

Meanwhile, media reports talk about Manchester United approving winger Jadon Sancho to remain in Dortmund for at least another season on loan.
