ANKARA, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Official statistics released on Monday showed that the Consumer confidence index of Türkiye rose by 1.4 points on a monthly basis in April.
The country's consumer confidence index was 79.4 in March and increased by 1.4 points in April to 80.5, marking the second consecutive month of consumer confidence index growth in 2024, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Türkiye's consumer confidence index saw a significant decline from June to August last year, reaching its lowest point of the year at 68. The index began to rise again starting from the last fall.
The consumer confidence index suggests optimism when above 100 and pessimism when below 100. ■
