HONG KONG, April 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted South of Fiji Islands at 02:23:21 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 73.3 km, was initially determined to be at 24.59 degrees south latitude and 176.19 degrees west longitude. ■
