BEIJING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Central Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 1100 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 1.29 degrees south latitude and 24.26 degrees west longitude. ■
