BEIJING, April 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted Off East Coast of North Island, New Zealand at 1109 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 66.9 km, was initially determined to be at 35.85 degrees south latitude and 179.71 degrees east longitude. ■
