CAIRO, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The Arab League (AL) condemned on Monday "the frenzied campaign that armed extremist settlers continue to wage against the cities and towns of the West Bank."
In a statement, the AL pointed out that the attacks occur under the protection of the Israeli authorities that encourage these operations.
The daily crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza should not cover up the obvious escalated violence crimes, burning of homes and agricultural lands, and destruction of property, which are committed by armed settlers every day, it added.
The AL said some countries' sanctions on a number of settlers are insufficient to deter the escalation of attacks and protect the Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, urging the United Nations Security Council to move to end the state of impunity in the West Bank. ■
