MADRID, April 12 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona will be without three key players and have little time to recover from their Champions League efforts before their key La Liga visit to play Cadiz on Saturday.
Barca impressed as they won 3-2 away to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, but with the return leg next Tuesday, there is little turnaround time and coach Xavi Hernandez has to deal with three important absences.
Robert Lewandowski, Inigo Martinez and Joao Cancelo all saw yellow cards in Barca's 1-0 win at home to Las Palmas two weeks ago which mean they are suspended for the visit to the south of Spain, but have a clean disciplinary slate ahead of next weekend's 'Clasico' away to Real Madrid.
Most commentators in Spain believe Barca will play their last options to win the title in Madrid, but three points in the Santiago Bernabeu would be worth very little unless they beat Cadiz.
The loss of three key players limits Xavi's options of squad rotation, so he will have been happy to see Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in Paris, although he will need to be careful of forcing Pedri, who has a recent history of muscle problems.
The return of Pedri and De Jong means that Xavi could also consider resting Ilkay Gundogan, who has played 44 games this season, while the fact Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen are suspended for the European return leg means both are in line to start on Saturday. ■
