RIO DE JANEIRO, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Andre Silva and Jonathan Calleri scored second-half goals as Sao Paulo clinched a 2-0 home victory over Chilean side Cobresal in their Copa Libertadores group match on Wednesday.

Sao Paulo dominated possession but struggled to reap the benefits until Silva broke the deadlock by bundling home from close range in the 82nd minute.

The hosts doubled their lead two minutes from time when Leandro Requena palmed away Calleri's header only to see the Argentine striker thump home the rebound.

"Today we had some difficulties but let's not dwell too much on those. We still had 71% of possession and 26 shots on goal compared to six [for Cobresal]," Sao Paulo manager Thiago Carpini told reporters.

The result leaves Sao Paulo second in Group B with three points from two outings, a point behind first-placed Talleres Cordoba.

In Rio de Janeiro, Pedro and Leo Ortiz scored in each half as Flamengo overcame Chile's Palestino 2-0.

Flamengo now lead Group E with four points from two games, a point ahead of second-placed Bolivar.

In other Copa Libertadores fixtures on Wednesday, Barcelona SC drew 2-2 at home to Talleres Cordoba, Penarol cruised to a 5-0 home victory over Caracas FC, Independiente del Valle won 2-0 at home to San Lorenzo and hosts Cerro Porteno prevailed 1-0 over Alianza Lima.
