CAIRO, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Despite economic difficulties and escalation in the region, Muslims in Iraq, Jordan, Iran, Algeria, Syria, Türkiye and other Middle Eastern countries are piling into markets to shop for sweets, new clothes and decorations to celebrate the upcoming holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the Islamic world.
