BEIJING, April 8 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Mikhail Gusman, first deputy director-general of TASS Russian News Agency, in Beijing on Monday.
Fu commended the long history of cooperation between Xinhua and TASS and extended the hope that the two agencies could further deepen communication, nurture a new growth force of bilateral cooperation, promote the development of Xinhua and TASS to continuously achieve new results, and make new contributions to China-Russia friendship.
Xinhua supports TASS in hosting this year's BRICS Media Forum, Fu added.
Gusman said TASS is willing to continue to deepen cooperation with Xinhua, and it is hoped that the two sides will work closely under multilateral frameworks such as the World Media Summit and the BRICS Media Forum to achieve more results. ■
