BEIJING, April 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted New Guinea, Papua New Guinea at 12:25:44 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 76.7 km, was initially determined to be at 4.02 degrees south latitude and 142.96 degrees east longitude. ■
