Shi Rongsheng, 76, is a villager from Shijianfang Village, Bazhou, north China's Hebei Province. This Qingming Festival, he went to Shenyang in northeast China's Liaoning Province, to pay tributes to his father, Shi Wanzhong, whom he had never met.

The senior Shi was a CPV soldier killed during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953). Since 2014, the remains of 938 CPV soldiers including the senior Shi have been repatriated and buried in China. This exercise has lasted ten years.

Through artifact identification, social investigations, military history research, and DNA comparisons, the remains of senior Shi were confirmed in this January. "The state helped me confirmed my father's remains, which fulfilled my mother's last wish." Shi Rongsheng burst into joyful tears upon receiving the news. (Xinhua/Li Gang)

This photo taken on April 4, 2024 shows giant panda Fu Bao at the Shenshuping giant panda base in Wolong National Nature Reserve in southwest China's Sichuan Province. A chartered flight carrying the giant panda Fu Bao landed in Chengdu at around 7:22 p.m. on Wednesday.

Fu Bao is the first giant panda that was born in the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Le Bao and Ai Bao, the pandas leased by China to the country in 2016.
