"Asia is still the fastest growing art market in the world with China now being the second-biggest art market in the world," said Angelle Siyang-Le, director of Art Basel Hong Kong.
A lot of the collectors coming to the art fair "are the younger generations across the entire region," she added.
Art Basel was founded in Basel, Switzerland in 1970, and first came to Hong Kong in 2013. It is now held in Basel, Miami of the United States and Hong Kong respectively each year.
