NEW DELHI, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Three school children aged between 12 and 14 years and one more person died when a bus they were traveling in overturned in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a local policeman told Xinhua over phone.
Three others were injured. Among the dead was the bus cleaner.
The mishap occurred in Barabanki area, near the state's capital city Lucknow. The school kids were on the way returning from a local picnic after visiting a zoological park in Lucknow.
"There were around 40 school students and six teachers inside the bus," senior cop Jagat Ram said. ■
