NEW YORK, April 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Near East Coast of Honshu, Japan, at 19:24:37 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 96.0 km, was initially determined to be at 40.04 degrees north latitude and 141.77 degrees east longitude. ■
