YANGON, April 2 (Xinhua) -- A strong wind hit five villages in Thabeikkyin Township of Myanmar's Mandalay region, causing damage to infrastructure and houses, the state-run media Myanma Alinn reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on March 31, affecting multiple areas within the township, the report said.
In Myinthar Village, a pagoda swayed, while the roofs of the school and staff housing were damaged. Additionally, 68 houses from four other villages were damaged due to strong wind.
The township administration team and other concerned officials provided relief aid to the affected villages. ■
