YANGON, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police have seized 36.82 tons of controlled chemicals in Kachin state of northern Myanmar, the state-run media Myanmar Radio and Television reported late Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the country's anti-narcotics police searched three motorcycles and six-wheeler trucks in Mohnyin township on Friday and confiscated the chemicals, the report said, citing police sources.
Nine suspects involved in the case have been charged under the related law, and further investigation is underway, it said. ■
