GUIYANG, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Yuan Ya of China won the crown at China's 2024 A-1 International Fighting Championship which concluded in Liupanshui City, southwest China's Guizhou Province late Sunday evening.
The championship featured 18 competitors from China, Thailand, Iran, Tajikistan and other teams.
Yuan, from Bijie City of Guizhou Province, won the final battle with clear dominance against Somon Wuka, the runner-up of Tajikistan's National University Championship0.
"This time I am very happy to come to Liupanshui to participate in this match. I prepared very well for it. To compete against overseas boxers, I feel very happy," Yuan said.
"This is the first time I came to Liupanshui to participate in the fighting competition," said Wuka. "Every fighter tried their best. And I hope to participate in more bouts and get better results next time." ■
