"I love China because I love the United States," Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee of U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR), told Xinhua in a recent exclusive interview.
"U.S.-China relations would fundamentally affect the American people," he said.
Orlins said that, as he came to China over time for building a better U.S.-China relationship that benefits the American people, he fell in love with China, too.
Orlins was among a group of representatives from American business, strategic and academic communities that Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Beijing last week. During the meeting, Xi said that the two countries' respective success is an opportunity for each other.
"A peaceful, productive, and constructive U.S.-China relationship is going to make this world a better place," said Orlins.
