YANGON, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Yangon Zoological Garden, the oldest zoo in Myanmar, attracts around 1.5 million visitors annually, the state-run media Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Sunday.
Established in 1906, the zoo celebrated its 118th birthday in January 2024.
The Yangon Zoological Garden is home to over 136 species and over 2,000 animals, including endangered species such as Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, and leopards. ■
