KIEV, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 5.3 percent in 2023, the country's statistical agency said Thursday.
Last year, Ukraine's nominal GDP amounted to 6.537 trillion hryvnias (about 167 billion U.S. dollars), said the State Statistics Service.
The GDP growth was mainly driven by construction, manufacturing, as well as information and communication industries.
The Ukrainian economy shrank by a record 28.8 percent in 2022.
This year, the GDP is expected to rise by 4.6 percent. ■
