RIYADH, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that the net inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 13.1 billion Saudi Riyals (3.49 billion U.S. dollars) in the fourth quarter of 2023.
According to a report released by the Saudi General Authority of Statistics, the FDI net inflows registered an increase of 16 percent compared to the third quarter of the same year, which was about 11 billion Saudi Riyals.
The FDI outflows amounted to about 6 billion Saudi Riyals, marking a 17.6 percent rise compared to the third quarter of the year, which was about 5 billion Saudi Riyals.
Meanwhile, the FDI inflows totaled around 19 billion Saudi Riyals in the fourth quarter of 2023, an increase of 16.6 percent compared to the third quarter of the same year, which was about 16 billion Saudi Riyals. ■
