PHNOM PENH, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet returned home on Tuesday afternoon after ending a two-day official visit to Laos with fruitful outcome, said a Government Spokesperson Unit's statement.
In Vientiane, Hun Manet and his Laotian counterpart Sonexay Siphandone held a bilateral meeting before witnessing the signing of seven cooperation documents, focusing on border affairs and energy, the statement said.
As Laos is the rotating chair of the 10-country Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for 2024, the Cambodian prime minister voiced his full support for Laos' chairmanship and decided to grant 1 million U.S. dollars to Laos for organizing the summit, the statement added.
The two prime ministers also discussed ways to boost people-to-people contacts and to enhance cooperation in combating transnational crimes such as human trafficking and drugs, the statement said. ■
