BEIJING, March 23 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Republic of Nauru David Adeang will pay a state visit to China from March 24 to 29.
Adeang was born in Nauru in November 1969. He has a bachelor's degree in economics and master's degrees in diplomacy and trade.
He was elected to the parliament in 2001 and served in various capacities including finance minister, justice minister, foreign minister and minister of internal affairs.
He was elected the 17th president of the Republic of Nauru in October 2023. ■
