KABUL, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Azerbaijan has begun its diplomatic relations with the Afghan caretaker government, Afghanistan's Tolonews TV quoted Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson of the Afghan caretaker government, as saying on Thursday.
"Azerbaijan has started its diplomatic relations with Afghanistan and activated its embassy. This is a new step in diplomatic relations between the two countries and will be beneficial for all," Mujahid said.
The Afghan caretaker government will activate its embassy in Azerbaijan, Mujahid added. ■
