ST. PETERSBURG, Mar. 20 (Xinhua) -- The proportion of Russia's natural gas and coal exports to unfriendly countries last year fell by about half compared with the year before, the Russian Energy Ministry said on Wednesday.

When meeting with members of the State Duma Committee on Energy, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said that in 2023, Russia's share of natural gas exports to unfriendly countries dropped to 24.1 percent from 49.2 percent a year ago, and the share of coal fell to 18 percent from 39.8 percent.

Russia's share of LNG exports to these countries fell slightly, from 84.6 percent to 78.7 percent.

In March 2022, the Russian government adopted a list of foreign countries and regions that had taken unfriendly actions against the Russian government, companies and citizens, and later expanded this list.
