MADRID, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Athletic Club Bilbao winger, Nico Williams and his brother Inaki have been vital in the club's rise up to fourth in La Liga and to qualify for the final of the Copa del Rey which will see it play Mallorca on April 6th.

The two brothers have a close bond on and off the pitch, even though 29-year-old Inaki opted to play his international football for their parents' homeland of Ghana, while 21-year-old Nico is a fixture in the Spain squad.

"It would have been nice to play together in the national team, because when you are a child you want to play with your brother everywhere," said Nico in an interview with Spanish radio station, Cadena Ser.

"You can't have everything in life and I'm lucky to play alongside him at Athletic Club," he added,

The brothers each set the other up to score vital goals in the semifinal as Athletic beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 in the return leg and their pace down each wing is one of their club's main attacking outlets.

"We are doing things well: we feel comfortable and we look for each other on the pitch, Inaki is scoring goals and giving assists and so am I."

"It's a blessing to have my brother on the pitch, because we have a chemistry between us. I know what he is going to do without him saying anything. I know his strengths and he knows mine," explained Nico.

With Athletic currently fourth in La Liga, the club is in with a great chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League, which would mean an important payday, but the Cup final offers the chance to end a 40-year-wait since Athletic last lifted the trophy in 1984, losing six finals over the period.

"We have just missed out on playing in Europe in recent season and we have to work for that prize, but the Cup is special and the club deserves it," admitted Nico, who warned that the final against Mallorca would be "very difficult."
