ISLAMABAD, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted multiple operations in different areas of the country, recovering over 50 kg of drugs, the ANF said on Tuesday.

During the anti-narcotics operations, the ANF also arrested four smugglers and recovered drugs including heroin, hashish, and crystal methamphetamine, the ANF said in a statement.

In an operation at the Islamabad International Airport, the ANF arrested a passenger going to Qatar carrying over 440 grams of crystal methamphetamine concealed skillfully in the luggage.

In another operation at the airport, 54 heroin-filled capsules and four suspicious materials were recovered from a passenger, who was travelling to the country's southern port city of Karachi, the ANF said.

Separately, authorities recovered 70 heroin-filled capsules from a passenger going to the United Arab Emirates at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, it added.

Also, 50 kg of hashish was recovered from Turbat district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.

The ANF said that separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigations are underway.
