FUZHOU, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Two people have been confirmed dead, two have been rescued and another two remain missing as of 7 p.m. Thursday, after a local fishing boat struck a reef and sank near Zhangzhou City in east China's Fujian Province, according to relevant authorities.
All six people aboard fell into the sea as it sank at approximately 2 a.m. on the same day.
Fujian provincial maritime search and rescue center has been carrying out timely search and rescue missions, and it has applied to the Taiwan-based Chinese Search and Rescue Association for assistance. ■
