SINGAPORE, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Keppel and Japan's Mitsui Fudosan will jointly explore data center development and investment opportunities in Japan and Southeast Asia, a statement released by Keppel said Monday.
The Keppel Data Center Fund II, the second data center private fund managed by Keppel, will work with Mitsui Fudosan to acquire a data center of more than 27,800 sqm in western Tokyo, according to a framework agreement between the two entities.
The data center will be ready for service by 2027.
The data center in Tokyo presents a rare opportunity for Keppel to enter Japan's data center market and Keppel expects to further penetrate the market to deliver attractive returns to investors, said Keppel's CEO and Chief Investment Officer Christina Tan. ■
