ROME, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Inter Milan managed another important victory in their run for their 20th Serie A title as the Nerazzurri beat Bologna 1-0 away on Saturday.

Inter had kept a perfect record since 2024 with 12 consecutive wins before Saturday, while former Inter player Thiago Motta had steered Bologna to an unexpected fourth place and knocked Inter out in the Coppa Italia.

The Nerazzurri rotated the squad for the upcoming Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid as Simone Inzaghi rested Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard.

Despite an inferior ball possession, Inter still scored the sole goal in the 37th minute as Yann Bisseck bombed forward for a diving header on Alessandro Bastoni's cross.

With the win, Inter are running away with 18 points advantage over second-placed Juventus who host Atalanta on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Cagliari dominated Salernitana 4-2, Monza sailed away with a 3-2 victory over Genoa, Sassuolo edged past Frosinone 1-0.
