KATHMANDU, March 9 (Xinhua) -- People happily celebrated the Maha Shivaratri festival, or the Great Night of Shiva, with devotion in Kathmandu, Nepal.
It is a notable festival in Hinduism, celebrated annually in honour of the deity Shiva between February and March, marking a remembrance of "overcoming darkness and ignorance" in life and the world.
