BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Action crime film "The Pig, the Snake and the Pigeon" stayed on top of Chinese mainland's daily box office tally on Thursday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
With a daily box office revenue of 23.03 million yuan (3.24 million U.S. dollars), the film's total box office reached 233 million yuan on Thursday, its seventh screening day.
It was followed by the realistic drama "Article 20," which grossed about 11 million yuan on Thursday. Domestic comedy-drama "Pegasus 2" came in third with a daily revenue of 8.39 million yuan.
Thursday's box office earnings totalled 50.85 million yuan. ■
