NEW DELHI, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced a price cut in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or cooking gas by 100 Indian rupees (around 1.21 U.S. dollars) per cylinder of 14.2 kg for domestic use.
The reduction in LPG price will come into effect by Friday midnight.
According to a report by The Indian Express, the LPG price cut is set to benefit nearly 330 million households. ■
