NEW YORK, March 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 26 km WSW of Lata, Solomon Islands at 19:27:01 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 36.1 km, was initially determined to be at 10.78 degrees south latitude and 165.56 degrees east longitude. ■
