NEW YORK, March 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted the Macquarie Island region at 19:52:53 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 59.20 degrees south latitude and 158.75 degrees east longitude. ■
