ZAGREB, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced Monday that the parliament will be dissolved no later than March 22.
Plenkovic, also the president of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union, also stated that President Zoran Milanovic can call for parliamentary elections within 30 to 60 days of the dissolution.
The elections will be held before the European Parliament elections scheduled for June 6-9, he said, adding that these decisions were endorsed by the coalition partners.
Plenkovic has been Croatian prime minister since October 2016 and has become the country's longest-serving prime minister since its first multi-party elections in 1990. ■
