SINGAPORE, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore Air Force will order eight F-35A fighter jets to complement its previous purchase of 12 units of F-35B jets, Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen told the Parliament Wednesday.
The eight F-35A jets will arrive in Singapore by 2030 if the Parliament approves the budget, Ng added.
Singaporean defense budget this financial year stands at 20.2 billion Singapore dollars (15 billion U.S. dollars), up 2.5 percent from the previous financial year, said Ng. ■
