XIAHE, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- An annual butter sculpture show was held at Labrang Monastery in Xiahe County, northwest China's Gansu Province on Saturday, the Chinese Lantern Festival, to pray for good fortune and harvest.

Built in 1709, Labrang Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and serves as a top Tibetan Buddhism educational institution in China.
